Near-Field Channel Estimation for mmWave/THz Communications with Extremely Large-Scale UPAs

Extremely large antenna arrays (ELAAs) are widely adopted in mmWave/THz communications to compensate for the severe path loss, wherein the channel estimation remains a significant challenge since the Rayleigh distance of ELAAs stretches to tens or even hundreds of meters and the near-field channel model should be considered. Existing polar-domain based methods and block-sparse based methods are originally devised for Uniform Linear Arrays (ULAs) near-field channel estimation. The polar-domain based method can be applied to Uniform Planar Arrays (UPAs), but it behaves plain since it ignores the specific sparsity structure of the UPA near-field channels. Meanwhile, the block-sparse based method cannot be extended to the UPA scenarios directly. To address these issues, we first reformulate the original UPA near-field channel as an outer product of two ULA near-field channels and we construct a modified two-dimensional DFT (2D-DFT) dictionary for it. With the proposed dictionary, we further prove that the UPA near-field channel admits a 2D block-sparse structure. Leveraging this specific sparse structure, we solve the channel estimation problem with the 2D Pattern-Coupled Sparse Bayesian Learning (2D-PCSBL) algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed approach outperforms conventional existing methods while maintaining a comparable computational complexity.

CoMoL: Efficient Mixture of LoRA Experts via Dynamic Core Space Merging

Large language models (LLMs) achieve remarkable performance on diverse downstream and domain-specific tasks via parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT). However, existing PEFT methods, particularly MoE-LoRA architectures, suffer from limited parameter efficiency and coarse-grained adaptation due to the proliferation of LoRA experts and instance-level routing. To address these issues, we propose Core Space Mixture of LoRA (\textbf{CoMoL}), a novel MoE-LoRA framework that incorporates expert diversity, parameter efficiency, and fine-grained adaptation. Specifically, CoMoL introduces two key components: core space experts and core space routing. Core space experts store each expert in a compact core matrix, preserving diversity while controlling parameter growth. Core space routing dynamically selects and activates the appropriate core experts for each token, enabling fine-grained, input-adaptive routing. Activated core experts are then merged via a soft-merging strategy into a single core expert, which is combined with a shared LoRA to form a specialized LoRA module. Besides, the routing network is projected into the same low-rank space as the LoRA matrices, further reducing parameter overhead without compromising expressiveness. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CoMoL retains the adaptability of MoE-LoRA architectures while achieving parameter efficiency comparable to standard LoRA, consistently outperforming existing methods across multiple tasks.

See, Act, Adapt: Active Perception for Unsupervised Cross-Domain Visual Adaptation via Personalized VLM-Guided Agent

Pre-trained perception models excel in generic image domains but degrade significantly in novel environments like indoor scenes. The conventional remedy is fine-tuning on downstream data which incurs catastrophic forgetting of prior knowledge and demands costly, scene-specific annotations. We propose a paradigm shift through Sea$^2$ (See, Act, Adapt): rather than adapting the perception modules themselves, we adapt how they are deployed through an intelligent pose-control agent. Sea$^2$ keeps all perception modules frozen, requiring no downstream labels during training, and uses only scalar perceptual feedback to navigate the agent toward informative viewpoints. Specially, we transform a vision-language model (VLM) into a low-level pose controller through a two-stage training pipeline: first fine-tuning it on rule-based exploration trajectories that systematically probe indoor scenes, and then refining the policy via unsupervised reinforcement learning that constructs rewards from the perception module's outputs and confidence. Unlike prior active perception methods that couple exploration with specific models or collect data for retraining them, Sea$^2$ directly leverages off-the-shelf perception models for various tasks without the need for retraining. We conducted experiments on three visual perception tasks, including visual grounding, segmentation and 3D box estimation, with performance improvements of 13.54%, 15.92% and 27.68% respectively on dataset ReplicaCAD.

GLM-5: from Vibe Coding to Agentic Engineering

We present GLM-5, a next-generation foundation model designed to transition the paradigm of vibe coding to agentic engineering. Building upon the agentic, reasoning, and coding (ARC) capabilities of its predecessor, GLM-5 adopts DSA to significantly reduce training and inference costs while maintaining long-context fidelity. To advance model alignment and autonomy, we implement a new asynchronous reinforcement learning infrastructure that drastically improves post-training efficiency by decoupling generation from training. Furthermore, we propose novel asynchronous agent RL algorithms that further improve RL quality, enabling the model to learn from complex, long-horizon interactions more effectively. Through these innovations, GLM-5 achieves state-of-the-art performance on major open benchmarks. Most critically, GLM-5 demonstrates unprecedented capability in real-world coding tasks, surpassing previous baselines in handling end-to-end software engineering challenges. DynaHOI: Benchmarking Hand-Object Interaction for Dynamic Target

Most existing hand motion generation benchmarks for hand-object interaction (HOI) focus on static objects, leaving dynamic scenarios with moving targets and time-critical coordination largely untested. To address this gap, we introduce the DynaHOI-Gym, a unified online closed-loop platform with parameterized motion generators and rollout-based metrics for dynamic capture evaluation. Built on DynaHOI-Gym, we release DynaHOI-10M, a large-scale benchmark with 10M frames and 180K hand capture trajectories, whose target motions are organized into 8 major categories and 22 fine-grained subcategories. We also provide a simple observe-before-act baseline (ObAct) that integrates short-term observations with the current frame via spatiotemporal attention to predict actions, achieving an 8.1% improvement in location success rate.

MAU-GPT: Enhancing Multi-type Industrial Anomaly Understanding via Anomaly-aware and Generalist Experts Adaptation

As industrial manufacturing scales, automating fine-grained product image analysis has become critical for quality control. However, existing approaches are hindered by limited dataset coverage and poor model generalization across diverse and complex anomaly patterns. To address these challenges, we introduce MAU-Set, a comprehensive dataset for Multi-type industrial Anomaly Understanding. It spans multiple industrial domains and features a hierarchical task structure, ranging from binary classification to complex reasoning. Alongside this dataset, we establish a rigorous evaluation protocol to facilitate fair and comprehensive model assessment. Building upon this foundation, we further present MAU-GPT, a domain-adapted multimodal large model specifically designed for industrial anomaly understanding. It incorporates a novel AMoE-LoRA mechanism that unifies anomaly-aware and generalist experts adaptation, enhancing both understanding and reasoning across diverse defect classes. Extensive experiments show that MAU-GPT consistently outperforms prior state-of-the-art methods across all domains, demonstrating strong potential for scalable and automated industrial inspection.

When Rules Fall Short: Agent-Driven Discovery of Emerging Content Issues in Short Video Platforms

Trends on short-video platforms evolve at a rapid pace, with new content issues emerging every day that fall outside the coverage of existing annotation policies. However, traditional human-driven discovery of emerging issues is too slow, which leads to delayed updates of annotation policies and poses a major challenge for effective content governance. In this work, we propose an automatic issue discovery method based on multimodal LLM agents. Our approach automatically recalls short videos containing potential new issues and applies a two-stage clustering strategy to group them, with each cluster corresponding to a newly discovered issue. The agent then generates updated annotation policies from these clusters, thereby extending coverage to these emerging issues. Our agent has been deployed in the real system. Both offline and online experiments demonstrate that this agent-based method significantly improves the effectiveness of emerging-issue discovery (with an F1 score improvement of over 20%) and enhances the performance of subsequent issue governance (reducing the view count of problematic videos by approximately 15%). More importantly, compared to manual issue discovery, it greatly reduces time costs and substantially accelerates the iteration of annotation policies.

LeanCat: A Benchmark Suite for Formal Category Theory in Lean (Part I: 1-Categories)

Large language models (LLMs) have made rapid progress in formal theorem proving, yet current benchmarks under-measure the kind of abstraction and library-mediated reasoning that organizes modern mathematics. In parallel with FATE's emphasis on frontier algebra, we introduce LeanCat, a Lean benchmark for category-theoretic formalization -- a unifying language for mathematical structure and a core layer of modern proof engineering -- serving as a stress test of structural, interface-level reasoning. Part I: 1-Categories contains 100 fully formalized statement-level tasks, curated into topic families and three difficulty tiers via an LLM-assisted + human grading process. The best model solves 8.25% of tasks at pass@1 (32.50%/4.17%/0.00% by Easy/Medium/High) and 12.00% at pass@4 (50.00%/4.76%/0.00%). We also evaluate LeanBridge which use LeanExplore to search Mathlib, and observe consistent gains over single-model baselines. LeanCat is intended as a compact, reusable checkpoint for tracking both AI and human progress toward reliable, research-level formalization in Lean.

Stop Wasting Your Tokens: Towards Efficient Runtime Multi-Agent Systems

While Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) excel at complex tasks, their growing autonomy with operational complexity often leads to critical inefficiencies, such as excessive token consumption and failures arising from misinformation. Existing methods primarily focus on post-hoc failure attribution, lacking proactive, real-time interventions to enhance robustness and efficiency. To this end, we introduce SupervisorAgent, a lightweight and modular framework for runtime, adaptive supervision that operates without altering the base agent's architecture. Triggered by an LLM-free adaptive filter, SupervisorAgent intervenes at critical junctures to proactively correct errors, guide inefficient behaviors, and purify observations. On the challenging GAIA benchmark, SupervisorAgent reduces the token consumption of the Smolagent framework by an average of 29.45% without compromising its success rate. Extensive experiments across five additional benchmarks (math reasoning, code generation, and question answering) and various SoTA foundation models validate the broad applicability and robustness of our approach. Compressive Near-Field Wideband Channel Estimation for THz Extremely Large-scale MIMO Systems

We consider the channel acquisition problem for a wideband terahertz (THz) communication system, where an extremely large-scale array is deployed to mitigate severe path attenuation. In channel modeling, we account for both the near-field spherical wavefront and the wideband beam-splitting phenomena, resulting in a wideband near-field channel. We propose a frequency-independent orthogonal dictionary that generalizes the standard discrete Fourier transform (DFT) matrix by introducing an additional parameter to capture the near-field property. This dictionary enables the wideband near-field channel to be efficiently represented with a two-dimensional (2D) block-sparse structure. Leveraging this specific sparse structure, the wideband near-field channel estimation problem can be effectively addressed within a customized compressive sensing framework. Numerical results demonstrate the significant advantages of our proposed 2D block-sparsity-aware method over conventional polar-domain-based approaches for near-field wideband channel estimation.
